Tyre Pressure Monitering Systems (TPMS) Explained
The TPMS consists of 4 or 5 pressure sensors inside the tyres and a receiver fitted inside the vehicle. The pressure sensors inside the tyres continuously measure the air pressure and temperature of the tyres and transmits the readings to the receiver by radio frequency. Should the air pressure of any tyre go above or below a set pressure or temperature, it will alert the driver instantly by digital display or buzzer alarm. This greatly improves driving safety.
